MYOCARDICAL SCINTIGRAPHY

It assesses our heart’s performances under stress or under pharmacological stimulation to see if there is a potential presence of cardiac ischemia.

 Different from the stress test, it can detect cardiac scars and it is more reliable. This test uses a small amount of a radioactive tracer, that lasts 24 hours,  to investigate the blood supply to the heart.
